Fortunately Jessie Staffler steps in to provide a team of high school supers known as the Power Brokers. This supervillain team is essentially every high school trope combined: prep (Contradict), burnout (Catalog), jock (Shanghai), cheerleader (Overload), goth chick (Lethe), and the nerd (The Mundane). The team has a dangerous balance of powers, including the ability to nullify superpowers. And yet the characters themselves seem unlikely to be together -- what's the goth chick and the nerd doing with the jocks, anyway? There also seems to be some disagreement between the artist and the author. Shanghai is supposed to be an Asian high school student but looks more like a brooding football coach and Lethe should be 100 pounds overweight but is rendered as slim. The concepts for each character are well thought out, but they're more believable (and frankly, more interesting) as separate entities or leaders of more mundane clique members in a super high school campaign.
