So, yeah, my guess is in finding out the Goku's desire to fight a strong guy is possibly gonna get his entire family killed, it'll drive him completely berserk.
Both there, and with Future Trunks, we've seen that rage can amp a saiyan up a lot.
Assuming Toriyama cares one crap about power levels.

He isn't Superman like his Grandfather.
He isn't Clint Eastwood like his grandson.
He isn't as kind as his son.
He might have more in common with his Great Grandaughter.
Im not going to talk about the other three because I know Jack about them.
What makes this character still work?
His tactics are amazing, and planning is something that I'm shocked pretty amazing (first move when facing a Vampire is to pull out a Thompson)
Yet he's putting others at risk.
How is he still better than flipping Nekki Basara? I should out right call him out on this BS yet he's awesome?

I thought the second half of season 1 was a lot better than the first half, although that might be because it had a tighter focus and kept it on the main character interactions. So, I dunno, I'll probably keep watching season 2 though.

For me it was the incest and the rapeyness really squicked me out. That And being able to come and go from their MMO drained pretty much all the drama out.

The harem aspect did kinda get in the way of that, it's hard to build on their relationship when Kirito has a different girl every week.

And he has no idea the universe is at stake. This should be good.
I know many of you want to see Vegeta kick his arse, but personally I'd prefer they went the comedy route and had him take his frustrations out on Beerus (It IS all his fault Goku even ascended, and met Zeno and such. Plus, Goku needs to be healthy if his familiy is to have a chance.)
Say, Vegeta casually claps a hand on Beerus's shoulder, taking the news of his families erasure calmly.. As Goku rambles on, Vegeta starts actually hurting Beerus, and eventually changing to about ten shades of SSJ God, culminating in him outright kicking the God of Destructions but around the planet.
All the while Goku is oblivious, and Whis is begging him to stop talking.

They all work for functional toddler, who has the power to destroy multiverses.
